Perhaps one of my favourite “phrases” from the writings of J.C. Ryle, of which, during the last few years, often referred to both in conversation and script!
“One plague of our age is the widespread dislike to what men are pleased to call dogmatic theology. In the place of it, the idol of the day is a kind of jellyfish Christianity – a Christianity without bone, or muscle, or sinew, – without any distinct teaching about the atonement or the work of [Continue reading ...]
Roger Oakland’s ministry “Understand The Times” has been such a blessing in my walk with the Lord. Here he explains the Emergent Pattern of The Emergent Church, a seeker friendly Christian movement touted to be the “New” Christianity for the Post-Modern World. But is the Emergent Church really a fresh approach to teaching sound doctrine, or is it part of the great end times apostasy predicted in the Bible?
In this video commentary, Roger Oakland explores the apostate pattern emerging from the Emergent [Continue reading ...]
What is pragmatism?
Basically it is a philosophy that says that results determine meaning, truth, and value — what will work becomes a more important question than what is true. As Christians, we are called to trust what the Lord says, preach that message to others, and leave the results to Him. But many have set that aside. Seeking relevancy and success, they have welcomed the pragmatic approach and have received the proverbial Trojan horse.
Let me take a few minutes to [Continue reading ...]
Motivated by money, it invented Purgatory. And by the way, Purgatory is what makes the whole system work. Take out Purgatory and it’s a hard sell to be a Catholic. People hang in there because of the deception of Purgatory. Purgatory is the safety net, when you die, you don’t go to hell. You go there and get things sorted out and finally get to heaven if you’ve been a good Catholic. Take away that safety net, [Continue reading ...]

Catholic mysticism has helped mightily to transform the New Age Movement from being counter-culture to being embraced by Evangelicals, and Western civilization as such. Catholic mysticism has affected almost every facet of life without being noticed or perceived.”
The Roman Catholic Church officially recognised Paganism in Vatican [Continue reading ...]

Alpha pioneer of the Anglican Church of England, Reverend Nicky Gumbel, spoke to a Roman Catholic audience of 1,500 people, including several Cardinals, in St Stephen’s Basilica, Budapest, on Friday, September 21, 2007.
He gave, as reported by “AlphaFriends,” a keynote address on ‘Hope’ at the International Congress for the New Evangelisation, led by the archbishops of five European cities – Vienna, Paris, Lisbon, Brussels and Budapest.
The talk was also heard by Cardinal Camillo Ruini, general [Continue reading ...]
The Reverend Nicky Gumbel’s ecumenical Alpha Course delivered, worldwide, and in particular, to the Anglican Church and Roman Catholic Church.
During the entire course, of which, millions have attended, Nicky Gumbel fails to mention, expound, from Scripture, the foundational truth; “salvation by works” cannot save anyone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Of which, is startling, and noteworthy, given his position in the Anglican Church of England, Nicky Gumbel is more than aware of both Anglican and Catholic Alpha attendees who place their trust in; the [Continue reading ...]
